At the Newport Folk Festival in 1963 Bob Dylan stood the music world on its ear with his gritty singing and song writing that changed an entire generation.

Known as the Ocean State, the residents of Rhode Island enjoy a rich tradition of sailing, fishing and boating. It is famous for the “stuffie”, large clam filled with stuffing and spicy sausage then baked to a firm crispness. Newport is also famous for its enthusiastic sailing community; one of the largest sailboat shows on the East Coast is held there each spring.
