E.E. Ward Moving & Storage

h 2235 Southwest Boulevard, Columbus, OH

DOT number: 1222904

E.E. Ward Moving & Storage is the oldest African-American-owned business in the US. Founded in 1881, it used to be a stop on the Underground Railroad. Now, it's one of the country's most trusted moving companies. From a wagon pulled by two horses to an award-winning corporation, E. E. Ward is a true tale of endurance and hard work. It's not for nothing that it's been around Ohio for 140 years. Today, the company is in the capable hands of husband and wife Brian and Dominique Brooks. These guys decided to join forces with North American Van Lines, and this took E. E. Ward to a whole other level. To their residential clients, they offer local, long-distance, and international relocations. They also provide them with short or long-term storage. To their commercial clients, they provide employee relocation services. But they also help them manage their moves and install office furniture. They've helped relocate libraries, labs, offices, and industrial businesses. All the excellent work E. E. Ward does has earned it many awards. Most recently, it's won the 2023 and 2024 WHR Global Partner in Quality, the 2023 Sterling Lexicon Service Excellence Silver Award, and the 2021 North American Van Lines Agent of the Year.
