Our Trust & Safety Commitment

We get it. Moving is stressful, and trusting your mover is everything.

Our mission is to make your move safer and simpler by being 100% transparent. We are a licensed household goods broker (USDOT 4455351), which means we don't do the moving ourselves. Instead, we connect you only with vetted, licensed, and insured moving companies.

Here is our commitment to you, in plain English.

Your 5-Point Protection Promise

Only Licensed Movers

We only match you with carriers that we have verified are licensed and insured.

No Deposits to Book

We will never ask you for an up-front deposit to get quotes or secure your booking.

Written Estimates

You will receive a clear, written estimate with your inventory details. We require movers to provide binding or guaranteed-price estimates.

Data Privacy

We only use your information to get you moving quotes. We will never sell it for unrelated marketing.

24/7 Human Support

If you have a problem, a real person is here to help you, any time.

1

How We Vet Every Mover

Not just anyone can join our network. Every single moving company must meet—and maintain—these standards:

Active Licensing

Active FMCSA authority for interstate moves and the correct state-level license (like a BHGS license in California) for local moves.

Full Insurance

Valid cargo and liability insurance, plus Workers' Compensation for their crews.

Proven Reputation

A minimum 4.0-star customer review average.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

A clean record with no "hostage-load" or "price-baiting" behavior.

We re-verify all these credentials every 90 days to ensure they remain compliant.
2

How We Protect Your Price

Your biggest worry is likely the price. Here is how we protect you from scams and surprise fees.

Written Estimates Only

A verbal "ballpark" quote is not official. We require movers to provide a written estimate after a physical or virtual survey. We also require the carrier to officially adopt our estimate in writing, so everyone is on the same page.

No Broker Deposits

You pay zero broker fees or deposits to us, ever. Any payment is made directly to the carrier according to the terms in your written contract (e.g., at delivery).

⚡ Important

The 110% Rule (Your "Anti-Hostage" Right)

This is your most important right. For non-binding estimates, if the carrier tries to charge you more at delivery, you are only legally required to pay 110% of the written estimate to have your goods released. The mover must unload your items. Any disputed balance can be settled after you have your belongings.

3

What If Something Goes Wrong?

Step 1

Contact Us Immediately

Call or email us 24/7. We will acknowledge your issue within 24 hours. We will contact the carrier on your behalf, audit the paperwork, and advise you on your rights (like the 110% Rule).

Step 2

Know Your Liability Options

By law, movers must offer two options for your belongings:

Full Value Protection (FVP)

The best option. The mover is liable to repair, replace, or pay for any item based on its current value.

Released Value (The Default)

This is the free, basic option, but it provides minimal protection. It pays only $0.60 per pound per item. (Example: A 25-pound TV would only get you $15).

Step 3

Escalate If Needed

If the carrier won't resolve the issue, we will guide you on how to file a formal complaint with the FMCSA National Consumer Complaint Database (NCCDB), the Better Business Bureau (BBB), or (for some disputes) the carrier's arbitration program.

4

Our Transparent Business Model

We believe trust comes from honesty about how our business works.

How We Make Money

Movers pay us a commission only upon successful completion of your move. There is no cost to you—we always strive to deliver the lowest price. If a mover were to adjust their price based on paying our commission, all movers would be competing on that same basis, so you can compare our prices against any other market prices without commission.

How We Rank Movers

Our non-sponsored rankings are based on objective data: safety records, complaint history, customer review scores, and estimate accuracy.

Our "Flag-Not-Remove" Policy

This is key. Unlike other sites, we do not delist or hide movers with problems.

If we find an issue (like lapsed insurance, inactive authority, or a spike in complaints), we apply a prominent ⚠ FLAGGED — Review Before Booking label to their profile.

  • The reason and date are public.
  • For legal issues (like no insurance), we make them "Not eligible to book" until the problem is fixed.

This keeps our directory 100% transparent and holds movers accountable.

5

Your Data & Privacy

Our policy is simple:

We only collect the data needed to get you moving quotes and coordinate your move.

We do not sell or share your personal data for unrelated marketing.

We may use AI to help compare quotes, but a human is always in the loop to review recommendations. You can also opt-out of AI-assisted matching.

Data Practices & Privacy Resources

We collect only the information needed to coordinate your move and comply with transportation regulations. Explore the policies that govern how we process and protect it.
