About This Company

Established in early 2020, The Moving General has rapidly become a cornerstone of reliability within the moving industry across the East Coast. Based in New York City but extending their reach throughout the Tri-State area and beyond, this dynamic company has built its reputation on the foundation of truly worry-free relocations. The Moving General distinguishes itself through comprehensive service offerings that extend well beyond basic transportation, including specialized residential and commercial relocations, secure storage solutions, efficient junk removal, and handling of special items such as pianos and grandfather clocks. The Moving General stands out because they see moving differently – as an important life event rather than just a job. They customize their approach for each client's specific situation. Their team offers both competitive business rates and skilled packing using high-quality materials, which removes many typical moving headaches. As more companies shift to remote work, The Moving General has changed how they handle office relocations to fit these new arrangements, showing they can adapt when needed. By making what's usually a difficult process much easier, they've gained many repeat customers across the East Coast. People think of them as helpful allies during big changes, not just a company that moves boxes.

Long Distance Move from Staten Island to New Jersey

"Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The team was professional, on time, and handled everything with extreme care. Moving can be stressful, but they made the entire process smooth and hassle-free. Every item was packed and transported safely, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was placed exactly where we wanted it in our new home.

Communication was excellent throughout, pricing was fair with no surprises, and the crew had a great attitude the whole time. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient moving company. Will definitely be using them again in the future."

Local Move from Staten Island to Jersey

"This company shocked me to say the least. They reminded me of the military which is unique bc of their name. The movers showed up on time in army green moving general clothing working room by room as a team. Every moving company should work like this in my opinion. The workers were unbelievably respectful. Yes sir, yes ma’am were very common replied to my family and I. I wish this company and the supervisor with the red hair nothing but the best of luck. I’m sure this company will be around for a while and I’m looking forward to watching their growth. Thank you Ryan, Joe C, Steven, and Macho for a pleasant moving date. You guys made everything so easy for us. Thanks again, talk soon. "
