About This Company

This moving company is as old as some of the United States's most important historical events. It first started in the late 1890s after the Emancipation Proclamation was passed. William and Lucy Morton left the Virginia plantations and headed north. They found their new home in Baltimore and started their own company, Morton Movers. In the late 1950s, their son, Raymond, along with his wife, Muriel, continued with the family business. The only exception was he renamed it Morton Modern Movers. The new generation took over in the 1990s and continues to run things. They are proud to uphold over a century of family and American history and to serve their Baltimore community. This team will work alongside you to craft a plan that makes your move run as efficiently as possible. They've been known to help commercial relocations, senior citizens, and students move their stuff in and out of storage during uni breaks. They, of course, handle local moves and have partner companies who can take you on long-distance moves across the nation. Additionally, they haul unwanted furniture and deliver new items you bought. They are trained to move antiques, pianos, and other specialty items. Other services include packing, unpacking, and organizing your storage.
