The best moving companies in Marietta, GA for 2026

Founded during the challenging economic climate of 2009, Wirks Moving & Storage has evolved from humble beginnings into one of Atlanta's premier moving companies. The organization began as the vision of Eric Wirks who, at just 26 years old and facing homelessness, channeled his remarkable determination into creating a company that would revolutionize how people experience the moving process. Having masterfully executed over 20,000 relocations throughout its impressive 14-year history, Wirks Moving & Storage stands as the undisputed leader in the industry. The company delivers exceptional services spanning local transitions, long-distance relocations, and specialized office and commercial moves throughout Atlanta, the Greater Atlanta Area Region, and the entire Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Alpharetta Metropolitan Area. What truly sets Wirks Moving & Storage apart is their deeply personal approach to each client's journey. The company's story begins with founder Eric Wirks facing tough times and receiving help from a caring fertility doctor named Sue when he needed it most. This experience shaped how the entire company now treats moving – not just as boxes and trucks, but as an important life moment that deserves care and understanding. From its humble start as just one person with a vision, the company has grown impressively. Today, they operate a fleet of spotless vehicles and modern warehouse facilities. They back their services with full insurance coverage and hold prestigious certification from the American Moving & Storage Association. Celebrated for unparalleled service excellence, Wirks Moving & Storage boasts an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and has secured multiple accolades including top honors from BestCompany and the coveted Atlanta's Best 2024 designation from Inbound Systems. At its heart, Wirks Moving & Storage operates on three fundamental principles—extreme ownership, unwavering integrity, and genuine altruism—which have guided their transformation into an extraordinary organization where employees function as a unified family dedicated to turning potential stress into confidence and optimism.
